Monday Makeup Rotation #2

Good morning!

This is week #2 for my Weekly Makeup Rotations! I started this originally from my Beauty Resolution / Challenge post, where I talked about my goal of shopping my stash and rotating my makeup.

If you missed Rotation #1, here it is!

Monday Makeup Rotations! It's exactly what it sounds like; I bring you what I have rotated into my makeup bag every week.

This week is the first week of school...and everything is in full swing.

I just want to warn everyone...that my posts won't be as often. :/ I will be doing my best, however, I do have 27 credit hours. That doesn't include extracurriculars I am responsible for or my work on weekends. Goooood-bye pillow!

However, you're not here to hear me moan and complain! So while I'm stuck in class as you're reading this...well...read this!

Tarte Natural Beauty bag! I don't even remember when I got this bag...it's most likely from...2009?

L'oreal Lumi Magique Foundation in N3 Natural Buff is what I'm using right now. I am applying just a very thin coat so I can look fresh and awake. School is back in session and I need to not look zombie-ish.

Physicians Formula Concealer Twins 2-in-1 Correct and Cover Cream Concealer in Yellow/Light is my undereye concealer. It's not the best I've tried, but my panda eyes are not that bad during winter break. I have already done a full review on this product.

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Cream (Light 4-5) is currently my go-to powder. I tend to get a little oily around the T-zone in the winter time so I dust this slightly over it. It is also my setting powder for my concealers. This was Rotation #1, and you will continue to see this. I've hit pan! And I want to finish this little sucker :D Plus, my other powder is just a shade too dark for me at the moment.

MAC Instant Chic Blush is a sheertone blush. I like this one because it's matte, and because I have a presentation, I want to keep this available.

NYC Sunny Bronzer is for contour.

E.L.F. Studio Powder Brush is what I use to buff my highlighter, brush, and bronzer together after application.

NYX Blush Brush is responsible for MAC Instant Chic and Sunny!

The Balm Nude 'Tude Nude Eyeshadow Palette is going to be toted around with me this week. It has everything that I need for school and professional settings! This palette has been a staple for awhile now and a review is coming soon as well!

E.L.F. Studio Cream Liner in Black is going to help give my eyes and lashes some definition.

Eyeliner and Crease Brush from Target (I have no idea what brand these are from) are what I am going to use to supplement the little brush from the Balm Nude'tude palette.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara with Grow-Lash Complex in 003 Extreme Black is my mascara that is almost finished! I talked about this in my last rotation! It's great at lengthening which is just what my little Asian lashes need! :) It is well loved...you'll see in the pictures. The writing is pretty much gone.

Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in 004 Black Brown is what I have been using. I haven't found any really great brow products, however I am eyeing that Anastasia one...so I'm trying to finish this baby up!

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Peachy Scene 525 is a lovely lipstick that adds some color to my face! I like my colored lip products and tend to shy away from nudes, so when I find a good lipstick that isn't too bold, I like to wear it!

Kona Kare Essential Lip Butter Balm in The Original, French Vanilla, Peaches and Dream, and Chocolate Peppermint are what I have been testing out right now. So watch for a review coming soon!

  1. I got out of the habit of rotating makeup but I really need to get back to it. I like how it forced me to give myself a whole week to work on applying one color palette so by the end I had found what does and doesn't work for me! Btw, LOVE theBalm. So happy to see it in your post :)

  3. I'm really curious about the The Balm palette! It looks great but I'm worried I have too many dupes in my collection.

    1. Hi Annick!

theBalm palette is great! I love it! What do you have in your collection that you think might be a dupe?

I am in the midst of a review for this palette, and if I have some of the items too, I can do a comparison! :)

  4. i love thebalm nude tude! such a great palette. :) Also you have to try diorshow maximizer - so good for asian lashes, plus it makes any mascara you use with it look infinitely better! :) good luck with all your school stuff!
